MSc Student at the University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez from San German PR. Working to understand how reef fish tolerance to temperature and oxygen stress change through early developmental stages. By exposing fish embryos (Red Hind and Mutton Snapper) to heat and and low oxygen at two different stages of life, Alvin will determine the environmental thresholds that these fish can tolerate before juvenile mortality becomes ecologically important.
